After 20 years of practice with large, mid-size and small law firms in Beverly
Hills, the South Bay and the Pacific Northwest, Layton Pace opened his own law practice in 2006 to take a more active
role in his local community. He currently practices in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach. Mr. Pace provides tax and tax-related legal advice to sophisicated business and real estate
clients, law firms and accountants with complex business structuring and tax controversy needs. Mr. Pace's clients
range throughout Southern California, conduct a wide variety of business activities and include non-residents of the
U.S. and California.
In the planning arena, Mr. Pace's legal services include the drafting, review and
revision of purchase and sale documents, partnership and limited liability company agreements, shareholder agreements
and similar documents used in connection with closely held businesses. In the tax controversy arena, Mr. Pace provides
audit support and handles matters with the Internal Revenue Service, California Franchise Tax Board, California Board
of Equalization and local governments. Mr. Pace does not provide estate planning, retirement planning or tax return
preparation services.
Mr. Pace works in conjunction with many other professionals in the South Bay,
Southern California and elsewhere inside and outside the United States when providing his legal services. Those
professionals include well-respected corporate, real estate, employment, securities and litigation counsel, tax advisors and
tax preparers at various law and accounting firms.
